Mission

Small and mid-size contractors need a clear list of open work, plain English codes, and past awards that help them decide whether to bid.

GovGazette offers free access to open SAM.gov opportunities, pages grouped by agency, industry, and state, code lookups, and guides. An early-access account adds a readiness checklist, 25 saved searches, tracking for 100 notices, and email alerts.

Award evidence (also: comparable public awards, award history)

Public history from similar awards, shown next to an opportunity. It can inform a bid/no-bid decision, but it does not set a price or predict an award.

Data sources and methods

  • Opportunities: official SAM.gov bulk extracts and related public notice fields (title, buyer, deadlines, NAICS/PSC, set-aside, place of performance).
  • Past awards: public award and entity records (including the USAspending archive and SAM entity records where cited). We use these records for award ranges and vendor pages.
  • Reference: Census NAICS titles, Acquisition.gov FAR materials, SBA size standards, and PSC definitions linked from our reference library.
  • Updates: we copy public records from official sources and update them on a set schedule. Some records have missing fields.

We do not invent incumbents, award odds, or FAR citations. Check the official SAM.gov notice and its attachments before you work on a proposal.

No government agency owns, runs, or endorses GovGazette. We use government trademarks and system names only to name public data sources.
