FAQ

Plain answers about free browsing, public award history, paid tools, and official SAM.gov data.

Is GovGazette free?

Yes. You can browse opportunity pages, grouped pages, code references, public award history, and guides for free. During early access, a free account also includes the First Contract readiness checklist, 25 saved searches, tracking for 100 notices, and email alerts. See Pricing for the current plan.

How is this different from SAM.gov?

SAM.gov is the official source of record. GovGazette makes its notices easier to search and adds public award history and guides. Check the official SAM.gov notice before you work on a proposal. GovGazette has no affiliation with GSA or SAM.gov.

What is award evidence?

Award evidence means public history from similar awards. GovGazette shows ranges, counts, and vendor details next to opportunities. This history can inform a bid/no-bid decision, but it does not set a price or predict an award.

What does Pro include?

Pro will cost $49 per month after early access. It keeps the current limits and adds bid/no-bid review with source links plus CSV and JSON exports. You cannot buy Pro yet. See Pricing for the current plan.

Do you guarantee awards or give legal advice?

No. Use GovGazette for research only. It does not give legal, tax, or procurement advice or promise eligibility or an award. We do not invent incumbents or FAR citations.

Where does the data come from?

Opportunity information comes from SAM.gov. Classification and regulation references come from official Census, Acquisition.gov, and Small Business Administration sources. Past award data comes from public award and entity records where cited. Check each key decision against the original notice and official guidance.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. When paid plans open, you can manage or cancel one in account billing settings. Access lasts through the paid period. Free accounts need no card. We do not send a digest until an operator approves it where noted.

What about agents and APIs?

Developers can use GovGazette’s free, rate-limited JSON endpoints to search opportunities and retrieve notice details and comparable awards. See llms.txt, OpenAPI, and the Developers links in the footer.

How do I get started?

Browse Contracts or read the first government contract guide. Create a free account when you want to save a search or track readiness. Pro opens after early access. See Pricing or About for more details.
