GovGazette for ChatGPT

Federal contract research with sources.

Search federal notices, build a cited brief, and research awards, vendors or exclusions. Public research is free and needs no GovGazette account.

Download the GovGazette plugin. Includes research skills and the public MCP connection. Public directory publication and account-specific connection tests are separate from this download.

Connect

Download the plugin and connect the MCP server in ChatGPT developer mode to try its research skills. Public directory availability is listed below.

Try your first research task

List the current GovGazette tools, then check freshness with no arguments. Find up to three source-active software notices in NAICS 541512. Research one using its returned ID and generation. Cite the official source and date, and state whether its deadline is open, past or unavailable. If none match, say so before broadening the search. Public research needs no account; do not create a saved search unless I ask.

From search to a cited answer

  1. Ask your assistant to list the current tools and check source dates with freshness and empty arguments {}.
  2. Use the listed search_opportunities tool with the example below. Choose a returned record and use research_opportunity with its exact ID and generation.
  3. Review the official source, source date and response deadline. Save the same criteria only if you want to follow changes.

A connected client is not a completed research task. If a tool name is unknown, list tools again instead of repeating it. A saved-search sign-in request does not block public research. First-call examples and recovery steps.

Website search is free. Sign in to read a full research brief on the website; public agent research needs no account. Results are not guaranteed, and source-active does not mean a deadline is open.

Direct HTTP clients

Select Streamable HTTP, not the older SSE transport. Send requests with POST, Content-Type: application/json and Accept: application/json, text/event-stream. A GET 405 means the optional listening stream is unavailable; continue using POST. An Accept 406 requires both response types, not authentication.

Initialize, list tools, then execute a research task. First-result examples and recovery steps.
