THE NEW CORE PROJECT SUPPORTS THE INTEGRATION ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THE MODERNIZATION OF THE CORE FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING SYSTEM FOR HUD. IGF::CT::IGF HUD IS PLANNING TO MIGRATE ITS CORE FINANCIAL SERVICES THAT ARE OWNED BY THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (OCFO) TO A SHARED SERVICE PROVIDER. THIS WORK INCLUDES THE MIGRATION OF ADMINISTRATIVE AND ACCOUNTING SYSTEM SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH BUDGETING, ACCOUNTING, FINANCE, AND REPORTING TO A SHARED SERVICE PROVIDER AND PLANNING FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF BOTH HUD S LEGACY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (HUDCAPS) AND ITS PROGRAM ACCOUNTING SYSTEM (PAS). HUD PLANS TO IMPLEMENT A SHARED SERVICE ACCOUNTING SOLUTION BY OCTOBER 2014.
