THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT QUOTATIONS. A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION WILL BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE WHICH WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR OFFERORS TO RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS NOTICE IF YOU ARE NOT SERIOUSLY INTERESTED AND IF YOU DO NOT PERFORM THIS REQUIREMENT. IT WILL DELAY THE POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION DUE TO FURTHER MARKET RESEARCH THAT WILL BE REQUIRED. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates issuance of a solicitation for the award of a firm-fixed price construction contract for a project entitled Emergency Replace Education Chair Lift, at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI Oxford), located in Oxford, WI. FCI Oxford is a federally owned facility located at County Road & Elk Avenue, Oxford, WI 53952,. The project consists of the following: The Federal Bureau of Prisons, FCI Oxford, intends to procure services for the demolition and replacement of the existing Education chair lift, which is no longer operable and has exceeded its service life. Work includes disconnecting and protecting existing electrical service, removing the current lift assembly, and furnishing and installing a new ADA?compliant inclined platform lift, Basis of Design: Garaventa GSL Artira or approved equal. The new lift system will include a complete platform assembly, drive and guide?rail components, obstruction?sensing devices, passenger restraining arms, retractable boarding ramps, kick plates, safety lighting, hand grips, low?voltage controls, emergency stop features, and keyless operation. The contractor will also provide a new drive cabinet, integrated disconnect, battery backup system, call stations at each landing, and all associated programming, testing, and adjustments. All work must comply with ASME A18.1, ADA?ABA requirements, NFPA, NEC, and all applicable Federal, State, and local codes. Installation shall be performed by manufacturer?certified technicians, and the contractor shall provide all required submittals, safety plans, quality control documentation, testing, and closeout materials. FCI Oxford is a United States federal prison for male inmates. See the Statement of Work/Specifications attachments for the complete requirements of the work. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238290 with a corresponding small business size standard of $22 million. To be considered an interested vendor, you must possess this NAICS code in your www.sam.gov registration. Interested offerors must be registered in sam.gov.
