Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Hologic Sales and Service, LLC for the procurement of ThinPrep® 5000 Processor, associated laboratory equipment, installation, training, and support services at the Durham VA Medical Center (VAMC). Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 12.102(a), soliciting from a single source. The Contractor shall provide Hologic-brand ThinPrep® 5000 Processor and related system disposables, installation, project management, calibration, training, and support services, in strict accordance with all schedules, specifications, terms, conditions, and provisions of this contract. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available, and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can meet these requirements, possesses relevant experience, and can provide equivalent products and services may give written notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
