Description
Purpose: The Army Contracting Command (ACC) New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 is conducting a Market Survey on behalf of Program Manager, Howitzer Systems to identify potential sources for a new electric forklift. Description: This Sources Sought is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation on the part of PM-Howitzer Systems. To help the Government evaluate market capability, interested vendors should demonstrate how their proposed equipment meets or exceeds the following draft specifications: Equipment Type: Sit-down style rider forklift Power Source: 100% Electric, powered by a maintenance-free Lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery Lift Capacity: 3,000 lbs. to 4,000 lbs. capacity range Mast Type: Three-stage (Triplex) mast Maximum Lift Height: Minimum 14 feet (168 inches) Forks & Carriage: Must include standard 42-inch length forks and an integrated side-shifter for lateral adjustment of the forks without moving the truck Maneuverability: Right-angle stacking aisle width must not exceed 120 inches carrying a standard 48-inch long pallet/load Tire Specifications: Dual-purpose (pneumatic or solid pneumatic) capable of operating on both smooth warehouse concrete and rough exterior/road surfaces Gradeability: Must be capable of safely traversing an incline/ramp angle of at least 6.65� (degrees), loaded and unloaded Charging System: Charger must be compatible with a standard US single-phase power supply (60 Hz, 220/240 Volts) and specifically configured for the provided Lithium-ion battery (supporting opportunity charging) Standard Safety Package: Must include an automatic backup alarm, operator presence sensing system, high-visibility seatbelt, horn, and an overhead guard Visual Safety Alerts: Must include a high-visibility amber strobe light and blue safety pedestrian spotlights (forward and reverse direction) Standards Compliance: Must fully comply with OSHA 1910.178 (Powered Industrial Trucks) and ANSI/ITSDF B56.1 safety standards Condition: Must be new equipment (no used or refurbished models) All interested parties demonstrating the capability to provide equipment meeting these salient characteristics are requested to provide a capability statement. Responses should include the following data points: Company Identifiers: Company Name, CAGE Code, and UEI Number Business Size: Business Size Standard and Socioeconomic Categories Proposed Solution: Make and model of the proposed equipment meeting the specifications Warranty: Standard commercial warranty terms Delivery Schedule: Estimated delivery lead times after receipt of order (ARO) This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (SSN) ONLY and should NOT be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or any type of commitment by the United States Government. As stated above, please be aware that the Government will not pay for any information submitted under this announcement. As a result of this SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (SSN), a Request for Proposal (RFP) may be issued for one (1) new Electric Forklift. Participation in this SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (SSN) is completely voluntary by the vendor and as such all costs to develop the vendor�s response are to be borne by the participating vendor. All interested sources are encouraged to submit their abilities/capabilities No Later Than (NLT) Friday, 17 July 2026 1700 EASTERN.
