Description
The DRAGON program on the E-3 AWACS upgraded the E-3 AWACS from a four-person flight deck to a three-person flight deck by eliminating the navigator position and incorporating a modern Flight Management System Suite (FMSS) with robust architecture. Specifically, it consists of a modern flight management computer and large multifunction displays for flight and engine instruments. Additionally, DRAGON includes safety features such as a flight guidance system, weather radar system, terrain awareness and warning system, wind shear detection and warning system, new and supplemental upgrades to navigation and surveillance equipment, an engine indication and crew alerting system. These services include failure testing and repair of the E-3 Navigation Control Mode Selector. This contract is anticipated for 5 years for a total of 35 repairs. NSN: 5826-01-717-5972 PN: 69-37369-305 FY26 Qty: 5 Repairs FY27 Qty: 6 Repairs FY28 Qty: 7 Repairs FY29 Qty: 8 Repairs FY30 Qty: 9 Repairs Period of Performance: 5 years: a Basic plus four one-year Ordering Periods BAE Systems Controls Inc. (CAGE 89954), acting as the design authority for the E-3 Dragon Navigation Control, is the only approved and capable repair source for this acquisition. This action will result in an award of a 5-year (a Basic plus four one-year Ordering Periods) contract, that will be Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Requirements Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC).
