Description
Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, MD (V2231) announces its intention to negotiate and award a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-26-G-1002 on a sole-source basis to The Boeing Company (TBC) for F/A-18E/F Block III, EA-18G, and Foreign Military Sales engineering development of Generation 2 Low Profile Heads Up Displays (LPHUD). The period of performance for this proposed contract is two years. The intended place of performance is at TBC�s Saint Louis, MO location. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for the action described herein is 541330; the PSC code is 1680. This procurement is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." As the contractor for the LPHUD, Boeing has the manufacturing knowledge, experience, and technical data required to fulfill this requirement within the time required. This synopsis is for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive proposals. In addition to this pre-solicitation notice, the Government has also issued a sources sought notice to determine if any other sources have the potential to fulfill this requirement. No responses to the sources sought notice were received. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the United States Government.
