Description

Red River Army Depot has a requirement for a two-year Firm Fixed Price, Multiyear, Requirements Type Contract for Thixon Adhesive and Primer. Quantities listed are estimated quantities only and are not guaranteed. No funds will be obligated by the award or the resultant contract but will be obligated by the issuance of delivery orders.The contract will have two consecutive ordering years beginning date of award and ending two years from date of award. Each ordering year provides an estimated quantity as listed below. Primer and Adhesive are used in daily operations for bonding of rubber to road wheels and track shoes on the BFVS, Abrams, M88, 113FOV, M60FOV, M109 and MLRS vehicles. RRAD has the only capability within the Department of Defense (DOD) for reclamation and remanufacture of combat vehicle Road wheel and track.1.THIXON 532-AEF: Rubber to Metal Adhesive, in 5 Gallon (19 Liter) containers. One-coat adhesive that will bond a variety of vulcanized or un-vulcanized rubber compounds to metal or rubber compounds. Black liquid appearance, non-volatile content by weight is 22.0-24.0%, solvents Xylene, dries 30 to 60 minutes at room temperature, shelf life-one year. Adhesive will resist prebaking times up to 15 minutes at 160 degrees C (320 degrees F) or the equivalent at other temperatures without deleterious effect on the bond.Estimated Quantities: Year One: 220 each Year Two: 220 each 2.THIXON P-11-EF: Rubber to metal Primer in 5 Gallon (19 Liter) containers. Gray liquid appearance, non-volatile content by weight is 22.0-26.0%; density LBS/gal is 7.6- 8.1, solvents MIBK, MEK, xylene, dries 30 to 45, shelf life-one year. Primer will remain firm at molding temperatures.Estimated Quantities: Year One: 400 each Year Two: 400 each This will be 100% set aside for small business. The evaluation factors are price and most advantageous delivery. All interested parties, please submit a capabilities statement.
