Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, has a requirement for steel cast horse boxes, quoin block and quoin stays for the bottom wicket gate structures at both Peoria and LaGrange Lock and Dams. __________________________________________________________________________ Technical Inquiries Q1: Do you have CAT models by chance? A1: No models or prints will be provided beyond those included in Attachment 1, "Wicket Horse Box Quoin Block and Quoin Stay Blueprints." Q2: Page 3 of the solicitation package states �At the time of delivery, provide Steel Certs for castings such as, but not limited to, COO, heat numbers, test results, etc.� Can you please clarify what testing is required for the castings? A2: Physical and chemical certification/analysis reports are required at the time of delivery to demonstrate that the castings comply with the requirements of ASTM 148, Grade 80-50. Q3: Please provide the NDT requirements for the steel castings and paint specifications. A3: Non-destructive testing (NDT) requirements are limited to the provision of physical and chemical certification/analysis reports demonstrating compliance withASTM 148, Grade 80-50. In accordance with the Statment of Work , coatings such as paint will be applied by USACE personel; therefore, paint application is not required under this contract.
