Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers intends to award the Kerry Company, Inc. with a purchase order to remanufacture the Miter Gate Actuators of Locks 4 and 5 on the Allegheny River. The contractor shall remanufacture both actuators simultaneously to their new and improved design. This contract does not include any modifications or improvements performed on the Cardanic Ring.The work includes disassembly of the motors, electrical testing and inspection of all components for wear and damage, steam cleaning, bake-out, sandblasting of required components, reassembly with two new bearings per actuator, final electrical testing, and painting. The contractor shall provide and install valve kits, approximately 60 gallons of food-grade hydraulic oil, re-hone the cylinders, furnish new pistons with updated seal designs, furnish new glands with updated seal designs, and provide complete seal kits for both the cylinders and hydraulic power units.The contractor shall sandblast and repaint the actuators using Macropoxy 646 at a dry film thickness of 4.0 to 6.0 mils, followed by an Acrolon 218 HS topcoat at a dry film thickness of 2.0 to 4.0 mils in the original factory color. The work also includes repair and re-chroming of the thrust rods, replacement of two bronze bushings in each cylinder trunnion, and furnishing stainless-steel tubing, fittings, and hardware as required.Additional components to be furnished and installed include a quick-disconnect manifold, reservoir end plate, two pressure tubes, two suction strainers, a P3AAN3040 bi-rotational hydraulic gear pump, and a complete set of pump-to-motor couplings and spider assemblies.THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES However interested parties may identify their interest and capability to fulfill this requirement by submitting a capability statement no later than 07 July 2026 to the point of contact listed below.SUBMISSION AND CONTACT INFORMATION Responses must include Company name, UEI number, CAGE code, point of contact information, and a detailed capability statement addressing the requirement.
