Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit from a single source, Becton Dickinson and Company(BD), for BD brand FACSLyric Auto Loaders in support of the Iowa City VA Health Care System. In accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901 as implemented by RFO FAR 12.102 Restricting Competition and Table 12-1 Authority Citations for Restricting Competition, competition will be restricted to ensure the required auto loaders are compatible and integrate seamlessly with existing Becton Dickinson Lyric Flow Cytometers currently in use at the medical center. The auto loaders are integral to the existing BD equipment system and are controlled by the BD software that comes with the BD Lyric Flow Cytometers. The contract will be a firm fixed-price purchase order. The Government anticipates award of the contract no later than June 30, 2026. While this synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the Government. The Government will consider responses received by the closing date of this notice. The information received will be reviewed solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a full and open competitive procurement or a small business set-aside competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this announcement. If the Government decides to compete this requirement, a synopsis shall be issued utilizing the combined synopsis/solicitation procedure identified in FAR 12. *** END ***
