Notice Reference Number: PANDHA-26-P-0000 040366 Synopsis: This synopsis is in accordance with FAR Part 5, Notice of Intent to award a sole source requirement. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available, and email requests will not be honored. Only one (1) responsible source and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Defense Health Agency (DHA) intends to award a sole source contract to Science Care, to provide Fresh or Fresh Frozen Cadavers to the Joint Base Lewis McChord, Tacoma, WA for purposes of conducting Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma training for Military Physicians and Surgeons as part of the Emergency War Surgery Course (EWSC), hosted by Defense Medical Readiness Training Institute. Background; Emergency War Surgery Course (EWSC) is being facilitated by the Defense Medical Readiness Training Institute (DMRTI). This training requires the procurement of cadaver specimens to support military medical readiness. Cadavers will be provided through Science Care to enable hands-on surgical training and realistic preparation for combat casualty care. Description: DHA seeks to award a sole source contract to Science Care, 2001 W Pinnacle Suite 175, Phoenix, AZ to provide Cadaver Specimens for Advance Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma Training for Military Physicians and Surgeons at Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA. NAICS Code: The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 621991 with the size standard of $35M. The Federal Supply Code (FSC)/Product Service Code (PSC) 6515, procurement is Medical & Surgical Instruments and Supplies. This procurement will be made utilizing Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6, Authority 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) - FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i)(A) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services procedures. Submission Instructions: Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement within 15 calendar days of the publication of this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
