Description

THIS IS A SPECIAL NOTICE ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southwest, San Diego, California, will be conducting an Industry Day for an upcoming requirement for Cultural Services at various locations within the NAVFAC Southwest area of responsibility. The work shall be performed primarily at various locations throughout the States of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah. The majority of the work is expected to be performed in California. However, on occasion work may also be performed in other locations within the continental forty-eight (48) states. The purpose of the Industry Day is to provide a brief overview of this upcoming requirement, as well as to obtain valuable feedback from industry. This Industry Day will also serve as a part of the Navy’s market research to determine any potential 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled-Veteran Owned and Woman-Owned Small Business sources that may be interested and capable of performing the work. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 541720 – Historic and Cultural Preservation Research and Development, and Archeological Research and Development Services. It is anticipated that the resultant Contract term will be for a twelve (12) month base period and four (4) one-year option periods, for a total maximum contract term of five (5) years. The Industry Day will be held on Tuesday, February 28th, tentatively for 10:00 a.m. at the Commander Naval Region Southwest, Building 1, at the Broadway Complex, 850 Pacific Highway, Nautical Room, 3rd Floor, San Diego, California 92132. Contractors are advised to allow sufficient time to access the building due to security check-in procedures and limited parking. A commercial parking lot is located at the corner of Broadway and Pacific Highway and there is very limited street parking. There is a little visitor parking available on the Broadway compound. Contractors interested in attending the Industry Day shall notify the contract specialist, Penny Brown via email at penny.brown@navy.mil, no later than February 17, 2017, providing your Company name, the name, title, email address and phone number of the attendee(s). The number of attendees is limited to two (2) per contractor due to space limitations. However, if there is sufficient demand, we may hold more than one session which will be announced accordingly. Specific questions regarding the Industry Day shall be submitted in writing to Mrs. Penny Brown via email at penny.brown@navy.mil. Responses to these questions will be posted on FEDBIZOPPS. THIS IS AN INDUSTRY DAY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT nor a Request For Proposals. No proposals will be accepted as a result of this announcement. No contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with attending this Industry Day or providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests should there be any.
