REQUEST FOR INFORMATION / SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19, Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center (RMAC) is issuing this source sought notice as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in providing Non-Invasive Urine Testing for Prostate Cancer. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement to support the following VISN 19 Facilities: Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center (RMRVAMC), 1700 N. Wheeling St, Aurora, CO 80045 Fort Harrison VA Medical Center (FHVAMC), 3687 Veterans Drive, Fort Harrison, MT 59636 Grand Junction VA Medical Center (GJVAMC), 2121 North Ave., Grand Junction, CO 81501 Oklahoma City VA Medical Center (OKCVAMC), 921 NE 13th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73104 Salt Lake City VA Medical Center (SLCVAMC), 500 S. Foothill Dr., Salt Lake City, UT 84148 Muskogee VA Medical Center (MVAMC), 1011 Honor Heights Drive, Muskogee, OK 74401 Ernest Childers VA Outpatient Clinic (ECVC) 8921 S Mingo Rd, Tulsa, OK 74133 The purpose of this RFI is to gather information that will assist in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy for this requirement. This notice does not constitute a solicitation and does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. Contractor shall provide a non-invasive urine based molecular liquid biopsy test for men such that the test provides a risk score that helps to differentiate patients with high from a low risk of aggressive prostate cancer and thus indicate the need for a prostate biopsy. The test risk score should be based on an analysis of RNA markers and should not incorporate PSA levels in its algorithm, nor require the DRE (digital rectal exam) prior to collection of the urine specimen. The vendor shall ship test kits directly to patients with a prepaid return label to the vendor s testing facility, and, when requested by the station, provide test kits to the laboratory department for distribution to designated patients with a prepaid return label to the vendor s testing facility.
