Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award multiple sole source Task Orders under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N0042123G0004 to General Electric Aviation (GEA) 1000 Western Ave, Lynn, MA 01905 for the Propulsion and Power (P&P) Component Improvement Program (CIP) for U.S. Navy and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers. These orders will be in support of the F404, F414, T64, T700, CT7, J85, and T408 aircraft engines. These engines support the F/A-18 (all variants), H-53 (all variants), H-60 (all variants), H-1 (all variants), VH-92, T-38 and F-5 Adversary aircraft. Design, analysis, and testing under the P&P CIP will be performed to improve safety and readiness; maintain specification performance; redesign low reliability parts; forecast hardware wear-out rates and life limits; and resolve problems. The deliverables under the BOA orders will include engineering change proposals (ECPs), manufacturing drawings, operating instructions and limits, maintenance instructions, rework/repair procedures, life limits, reliability predictions, technical reports, specification change notices, and test reports. The period of performance for these task orders will be one year during Calendar Year 2027. The Government intends to procure under the authority of Title 10 U.S.C 3204(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.103-1 (formerly 6.302-1), only one responsible source or no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. No additional written information, formal request for proposal, or solicitation is available at this time. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS; however, responsible interested parties may submit information in which they can identify interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Responses must be received by 5:00 PM Eastern Time on 15 June 2026. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is: 336412-Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received.
