Description of Requirement: The Government has a requirement for the procurement of B-1B Ball Socket Housings. This acquisition will be conducted as a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Supply contract. Special Requirements First Article Testing (FAT): A first article and an associated First Article Test Report will be required prior to full production, unless a formal waiver is requested by the offeror and granted by the Government. 4. Acquisition Strategy & Authority The Government anticipates a single, sole-source award to Collins Aerospace (Goodrich) (CAGE Code: 99551). Justification: The Government does not own the rights to the technical data for the B-1B Ball Socket Housing. Collins Aerospace possesses the proprietary data rights necessary to manufacture this part, precluding full and open competition. While the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. 5.
