Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, Missouri Basin Region, intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for the following supplies: Draft Salient Characteristics: WY Trailers 1. Scope a. Bureau of Reclamation, Wyoming Area Office (WYAO) is seeking supplier for 3 trailers. Materials required are listed below in Section 3. 2. Objectives a. Supply the trailers by 10/01/2026. 3. Required Salient Characteristics a. General Description i. Enclosed cargo trailer, tandem axle, suitable for general cargo hauling, equipment transport, and protected storage. ii. Exterior siding: .080 Polycore (or equivalent durable, screwless/semi-screwless composite or aluminum composite panel). b. Dimensions i. Box length: 16 ft + V-nose front (aerodynamic). ii. Interior width: Minimum 83" between wheel wells; 96" wall-to-wall. iii. Interior height: 6 ft 6" (78") Minimum iv. Rear door opening: Minimum 74" wide x 78" high. v. Rear door: Ramp door with flap, dual cable assist, and minimum 4,500 lb capacity. c. Structural & Construction Features i. Main frame: 6" tube frame (or equivalent heavy-duty steel). ii. Wall & roof framing: 16" on center (o.c.), using 1.5" x 1" tube studs. iii. Floor: 3/4" plywood, 16" o.c. crossmembers. iv. Walls: 3/8" plywood interior lining. v. Roof: Galvalume (or equivalent corrosion-resistant metal roof). vi. Stone guard: Minimum 24" on front. vii. Fenders: required viii. Tongue jack: 2,000 lb capacity minimum d. Axles, Suspension & Brakes i. Axles: Two (2) 3,500 lb spring axles (tandem). ii. Brakes: Electric brakes on both axles, with breakaway switch and battery. iii. Tires: 15" minimum iv. GVWR / Payload: Approximately 7,000 lb GVWR (empty weight ~2,800 lb, payload ~4,200 lb). e. Doors & Access i. Rear: Ramp door as described ii. Side entry door: 36" minimum iii. Tie-downs: Minimum 4 D-ring tie-downs f. Electrical & Lighting i. LED exterior light package (full DOT-compliant). ii. Interior: Minimum one (1) 12V LED dome light. iii. Wiring: 7-way round plug (flat pins), safety chains, breakaway system. g. Additional Standard Features i. Thermocool or equivalent insulated ceiling. ii. Hitch coupler: 2-5/16". h. Performance & Compliance i. Designed for highway use with proper load distribution and towing vehicle compatibility. ii. Weather-resistant, secure enclosure for cargo protection. iii. All materials and construction must meet or exceed applicable federal and state DOT trailer standards for safety and roadworthiness. 4. Required Performance Specifications a. The delivery location is: 205 Chamberlain Rd. Mills, WY 82644 b. Delivery will be conducted during business hours, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Contact POC with time truck will be arriving at least three days before arrival. No deliveries on federal holidays. c. Delivery must be completed no later than October 01, 2026. 5. Place of Performance a. The contractor shall deliver all components by October 01, 2026. It is anticipated that the simplified acquisition set aside will be a Total Small Business with Lowest Price Technically Acceptable evaluation criteria. It is anticipated that the Request for Quote (RFQ) will be posted on or about 23 June 2026 via the SAM.gov website. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the SAM.gov web page for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. The product service code is 2330 and the NAICS code is 336212. HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Quotations are not requested and will not be accepted from this Pre-Solicitation Notice. It is required that all companies are to be actively registered in SAM.gov prior to submitting a quotation for this solicitation.
