Description
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for one (1) lot of Mecury Cadmium Telluride (HgCdTe) electron Avalanche Photodiode (e-APD) Sensor Chip Assemblies (SCA) for the NASA GSFC Airborne CO2 and Methane Lidar. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from DRS Network & Imaging as the sensor chips will be used as spares for the Airborne CO2 and Methane Lidar and must be fully compatible with the existing cry-coolers housing and the support electronics which were custom built for NASA/GSFC. The Government intends to aquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified points of contact no later than 11:59 pm EST on April 12, 2016. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
