INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR OFFERS. NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE IS AVAILABLE NOR WILL TELEPHONE REQUESTS BE HONORED. NO SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED TO CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES. PROCUREMENT TITLE: DaTscan Radioactive Agent for Diagnostic Imaging INTENT TO AWARD: The Department of Veterans Affairs (NCO 19), 6162 S. Willow Drive, Greenwood Village, CO 80111, intends to award one (1) purchase order on a sole source basis, to Medi-Physics, Inc, for DaTscan Radioactive Agent for Diagnostic Imaging. BACKGROUND AND DESCRIPTION: The Salt Lake City Healthcare System (SLCHCS) located at 500 Foothill Blvd Salt Lake City, UT 84148 is currently sourcing generic Ioflupane I-123 from the local Cardinal Health radiopharmacy, under contract #36C25922D0042, order #36C25926N0073. Recent production issues of the generic product have caused delays with patient scheduling and imaging. The VASLCHCS is seeking to establish a contract with Medi-Physics, Inc. for the acquisition of DaTscan I-123 to circumvent production issues, ensure timely completion of nuclear medicine orders indicated for Ioflupane I-123. NAICS: 325412 Pharmaceutical Preparation Manufacturing, 1,300 employees PSC: 6505 Drugs and Biologicals AUTHORITY: This procurement will be issued under the authority of RFO Part 8 Required Sources of Supplies and Services. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed award upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. INTERESTED PARTIES: THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement as described in the attached Salient Characteristics no later than 12:00 PM Mountain Standard Time, Friday, July 3rd, 2026. Information received in response to this notice must clearly demonstrate the capability of meeting the Government s need as stated above. Include any relevant information (specifications, cut sheets, brochures, capability statement, etc.) confirming the ability to supply the products and/or any services outlined in this notice. Responses to this notice are to be sent to heather.chase2@va.gov. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government is not responsible for any potential costs incurred from interested parties desiring to respond to this notice.
