Description
The due date has been revised to match the RFQ date and time of 11:00am, June 22, 2026. The Government is post responses to questions recevied from vendors. The due date is still 11:00am, Wednesday, June 17, 2026 EST. The RFQ is being revised to correct the inconsistency with small business set-aside between the SF 1449 and RFQ language. This RFQ is unrestricted. No set-aside is used. Small businesses are encouraged to apply to this RFQ (June 9, 2026). The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Fire Department is tasked with the inspection and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers on the NIST Gaithersburg, MD Campus. Part of the maintenance of fire extinguishers is the hydrostatic test and refilling of the fire extinguisher. This is a required process per National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Occupation Safety Health Administration (OSHA). The NFPA 10 code and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.157.
