Description
The RFQ number is N0018918Q0318. This SOLE SOURCE solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-98 and DFARS Publication Notice 20180530. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: https://www.acquisition.gov/far/ and http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dars/dfarspgi/current/index.html The NAICS code is 333618 and the Small Business Standard is 1,500 Employees. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(a)(1)(ii). The Small Business Office concurs with the set-aside decision. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all bids, proposals, or quotations received by the closing response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Only those authorized to repair Caterpillar Generators, will be considered for award. This will be verified through Caterpillar Headquarters. Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Sole Source contract for a Caterpillar pipe assembly for a Caterpillar Diesel generator. This office will no longer issue a hard copy of the Request for Quote (RFQ); therefore, a copy can be obtained from website http://www.neco.navy.mil. By submitting a quote, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the quote. By submission of a quote, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this RFQ, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at https://www.bpn.gov. This announcement will close at 1200 PM EST on 08 June 2018.
