Description

The Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC)-Fort Hood intends to procure RMT Fire Suppression Systems for the 302nd SQDN on a sole-source basis for a commercial product, in accordance with Revolutionary Far Overhaul FAR 12.101-1. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract Fire Combat Inc. The basis for this sole-source determination is that Fire combat Inc., is the only source that can provide the required "RMT 4000" fire suppressor systems that meet the Government's minimum needs. This vendor is the original manufacturer and sole distributor of the required systems, and no other systems are compatible with the existing infrastructure. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339999, All Other Miscellaneous Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The requirement consists of furnishing and delivering three (3) RMT 4000 Fire Suppressor Systems for the 302nd SQDN located at Fort Hood, TX. This action is being competed as other than full and open competition. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. No solicitation document is available. However, all responsible sources who believe they can meet the requirements may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. A decision by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses must be received no later than 1:00 PM Central Time on May 11, 2026. Responses should be emailed to Brandi Lewis-Reed at Brandi.s.lewis-reed.civ@army.mil and Marcellus Newson at marcellus.j.newson.civ@army.mil.
