Description
The Navy Region Southwest (NRSW) Qualified Recycling Program (QRP) is issuing a Solicitation and Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the recycling, removal, and demolition of Material Documented as Safe (MDAS) mixed scrap steel and metal buildings located at Naval Auxiliary Landing Field (NALF) San Clemente Island (SCI). This is a government sale requiring a Fixed Total Price bid for the complete removal of identified materials. Critical Project Requirements Mandatory Site Visit: A mandatory inspection and site visit is scheduled for April 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM (PT). Site Visit RSVP: You must RSVP via email to the QRP office no later than March 20, 2026, to clear security for island access. Submission Method: Bids will only be accepted via certified carrier service (FedEx, DHL, UPS, etc.). E-mailed, faxed, or hand-delivered bids will be rejected. Bid Due Date: All bids must be received by 2:00 PM (PT) on May 15, 2026. Attached Documents Please review the attached package thoroughly, as it contains specific requirements for your Technical Proposal: Invitation to Bid (ITB): Contains the primary Scope of Work and the mandatory Bid Sheet. Solicitation: Details the technical proposal requirements and grading system. Submittals & Definitions: Outlines required safety programs (APP/AHA) and insurance minimums. Pictures: Provides a general idea of the type of material and how it is scattered throughout the island.
