Description

Mk 200 Propelling Charge This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206.302-3. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD), Contracts Department, Code 02 intends to award an IDIQ contract for the purchase of the Mk 200 Mod 1 Propelling Charges on a limited source basis to vendors within the National Technology and Industrial Base (NTIB) as defined in 10 U.S.C. � 2500 and further restricted to United States (US) and Canada. The Mk 200 Mod 0 Propelling Charge replaced the Mk 67 Mod 3 Propelling Charge as the primary round for the Mk 45 5� Gun Weapon System. The Mk 200 Mod 1 is a modification to the current Mk 200 Mod 0 Propelling Charge intended to increase the availability of propelling charges that are compatible with the Mk 45 Gun Weapon System, main gun weapon for the USN Surface Fleet . The MK 200 Mod 1 uses a cartridge case made from brass as opposed to steel like its predecessor, the Mod 0 variant, to increase the supply of cartridge cases for the propelling charges. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-3, Industrial mobilization; engineering, developmental, or research capability; or expert services competition will be limited to satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract. All interested sources shall provide the 1) Organization Name, 2) Address, 3) Point of Contact, 4) Phone number, 5) E-mail address, 6) Business size, 7) DUNS number, and 8) CAGE Code. In addition, all interested sources shall provide a summary of their company�s capabilities and delivery timeframe and schedule.
