Description
The 35th Contracting Office at Misawa AB, Japan, intends to award a singlr source contract under the authority of RFO 12.102(a), Simplified Procedures (41 U.S.C. 1901). The associated NAICS code for this is 334220. The single-source contract will be awarded to: Kaney Aerospace, Inc. (hereby the proposed vendor) 1300 Capital DR Rockford, Illinois 61109-3076, United States CAGE: 4VQ38 This requirement consists of procuring twenty-four (24) Y-Cord adapters (NSN: 5995-01-692-4005). A headset adapter specific to F35 pilots and aircrew members, these adapters provide clear communication between pilots and members on ground with reduced sound distortion capabilities. Additionally, these cords allow for optimal peripheral vision as it allows pilots to comfortably turn their heads with minimal disruption. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possess the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. Market research demonstrated that this vendor is the sole provider of F-35 Y-Cables approved for use on the F-35 JSF. The T.O. specifivcally calls for this P/N and no suitable subs. nterested parties may identify their interests to this notice by showing clear and convincing evidence that they can provide all the needed assets, meet the security requirements and competition would be advantageous to the Government. RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE ARE NOT CONSIDERED AS OFFER AND CANNOT BE ACCEPTED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO FORM A BINDING CONTRACT. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY FOR INFORMATION REQUESTED NOR WILL IT COMPENSATE ANY RESPONDENT FOR ANY COST INCURRED IN DEVELOPING INFORMATION PROVIDED TO THE GOVERNMENT.
