Description
4x external load training (2x 15k, 1x 12k, and 1x 6k) blocks IOT replace the current deteriorating training blocks, enhance ability to train aircrews on external load procedures associated with L2A2 operations, and prepare for ARSTRUC lift asset increase. Blocks will meet criteria outlined in Natick Center Technical Data Package (TDP) 11-1-7752, addendum 01, which is the most current.2 X 15K Sing Block(s)- Construction: Concrete and rebar constructed training block allowing aircrews to train effectively while minimizing potential damage to Army equipment. Construction of the 15K block will follow the 18K technical data outline in 11-1-7752. This requires the vendor to proportionally scale down the volume, only reducing the length of the block, while maintaining the lifting provision dimension locations per the Technical Data Package. - Color -Coded: Training blocks adequately simulate common externally loaded cargo essential to the mission of the 101st Division (AASLT) (e.g., M1167, M1152A1 with Mobility Trailer). This weight also provides adequate training to prepare aircrews to transport dual ISVs rigged in the shotgun configuration ? vital to successful L2A2 Operations. 1 X 12K Sling Block- Construction: Concrete and rebar constructed training block allowing aircrews to train effectively while minimizing potential damage to Army equipment. Construction will be IAW with technical data in the attachments. - Color -Coded: Each Block shall be color-coded IAW the table below, integral ready-mic concrete dyes, such as those available from Solomon Colors, QC Construction Products or Davis Colors: - Block adequately simulates M777A1, M1097 w/ High Mobility Trailer, etc. 1 X 6K Sling Block- Construction: Concrete and rebar constructed training block allowing aircrews to train effectively while minimizing potential damage to Army equipment. Construction will be IAW with the attachment below. - Color -Coded: Each Block shall be color-coded IAW the table below, integral ready-mic concrete dyes, such as those available from Solomon Colors, QC Construction Products or Davis Colors. - Block adequately simulates M119A3, Container Roll-In/Out Platform (CROP), etc. Manufacturer Data Plate (Per Block):- Provide nameplate with block weight, manufacturer, manufactured date, unique local serial number, and that the block was made in accordance with this drawing to each weight. Made of brass, 4? Wide X 8? Long X 1/16? This (minimum) anchored with 4, ?? x 2 ?? screws in expansion shields on block top surface as shown in the attachments.
