Description
The General Services Administration (GSA) will award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Fine Art Services, comprising a one-year base period and four 12-month option periods. This contract is essential for supporting upcoming government initiatives, notably the U.S. Semi-quincentennial, which will feature federally owned artworks. The required services necessitate specialized expertise in the handling of complex fine art activities. These include the transportation, installation/de-installation, exhibition preparation, packing/crating, and cyclical maintenance of priceless and culturally significant artwork owned by the federal government. These services will support upcoming activities and may require the contractor(s) and proposed individuals to be available on short notice, specifically in the Mid-Atlantic region and Washington, D.C. The GSA's Fine Arts Program provides national leadership and expertise in fine art care and policy for the agency's Fine Arts Collection. The program is committed to managing the Collection according to the highest ethical and stewardship standards, ensuring its preservation, legal compliance, accessibility, and public understanding. Ultimately, the program contributes to the creation of high-quality federal buildings for both federal employees and the public.
