Description
This action is to establish a Contract for the acquisition of the Nose Radome NSN: 1560-01-417-5455LG sole source to Lockheed Martin Corporation. It is for the manufacture of the C-130 Radome. The quantity is 42. The 3333921-1 nose radome, used on C-130H and C-130J model aircraft, has a projected life through 2034. Supply chain manage-ment system forecast databases show flying hours and forecasts out to 2034. This radome assembly encloses the radar, the glide-slope, and the microwave landing system. A critical radar window area must bemaintained in the radome to meet trans-mission efficiency and degradation requirements for the enclosed systems. The Government does not own the technical data package for this item. This requirement will be solicited sole source to manufacturer Lockheed Martin (Cage: 98897) pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1); FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency
