Description
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking a small business contractor to perform exterior building repair and renovation work at the NIST Boulder Campus. The project primarily includes removal and replacement of the existing foam roof system on Building 8 with a new metal roof deck system, installation of new fascia, gutters, and downspouts, replacement of damaged insulation, and installation of snow guards. Optional work may include demolition and reconstruction of the northwest entrance overhang at Building 5 with new gutter system and painting; reinstallation of an existing ornamental vent stack cap on Building 3; and removal and replacement of the main entrance door system, frame, associated concrete slab, and structural supports at Building 11. Work includes demolition, roofing, sheet metal, concrete, structural, and door installation activities while maintaining building protection and compliance with all applicable safety requirements.
