Description
All quoters must complete the attached salient characteristics compliance form. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0461 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a two-row flame weeder. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 333111 The small business size standard is 1,250 This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has a requirement for a 2-row flame weeder. Offers will be evaluated for technical acceptability based on meeting all the required salient characteristics. The salient characteristics of the flame weeder are as follows: Capable of treating two rows of crops with 30-inch row spacings. Maximum overall width of 96 inches. Must have adjustable hoods designed to operate fully closed for shorter crops or partially open for taller crops. Capable of mounting on a tractor with a 3-point hitch. Must include a controller that can be accessed from the operator�s seat of the attached tractor. Propane tank with 200 gallon capacity and rated for transportation by the Department of Transportation (DOT). Fully-fueled weight under 2,500 pounds to allow for use with most tractors currently in inventory. Unit must be fully assembled. Quotes should be emailed to kyle.link@usda.gov
