FOR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS AND FURTHER DETAILS PLEASE SEE ATTACHED FILES Building 2A Demolition Project BACKGROUND INFORMATION The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) campus is located in Boulder, Colorado and is a research & development facility. DOC also consists of National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) agencies on the NIST campus. The Office of Facilities and Property Management (OFPM) at NIST is responsible for maintaining and renovating spaces which consist of laboratories, office space and facilities maintenance areas, except the David Skaggs Research Center. PURPOSE The objective of this acquisition is to disconnect Building 2A (B2A) from all utility services supplied to the building, complete demolition/ removal of B2A and remaining contents, return subgrade to elevation of adjacent soils, installation of new concrete sidewalk, new asphalt flatwork at vehicular surfaces, new parking striping on asphalt surfaces and new parking lot luminaires for this section of the parking lot. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE Work will be performed at the US Department of Commerce (DOC) Boulder Laboratories campus at 325 Broadway, Boulder, CO in and around B2A.
