COLONIAL NHP - REPLACE BACKHOE ENGINE SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL BUT INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY! THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, QUOTATION OR BID, NOR A SYNOPSIS OF A PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION UNDER FAR SUBPART 5.2. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Responses to this Sources Sought will help to identify capable sources and develop acquisition strategy for the upcoming acquisition. Additionally, this Sources Sought is being issued to establish if this requirement can be set-aside for small business or other socioeconomic programs to include: Small Business, 8(a) firms, Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Businesses that identify with the aforementioned socioeconomic programs are highly encouraged to respond. The synopsis and solicitation, if issued, will be made available on SAM.gov. It is the potential offeror�s responsibility to monitor SAM.gov Contract Opportunities Reports for issuance of any future solicitation that may result from this Sources Sought. Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price NAICS Code: 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (Except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance Small Business Size Standard: $12,500,000 Product and Service Code (PSC): J024 � Maintenance/Repair/Rebuild of Equipment � Tractors GENERAL INFORMATION: National Park Service (NPS) Colonial National Historical Park (COLO) require the following services: a. This contract provides for all labor, tools, equipment, materials, parts and supervision required to replace the engine of a 2008 JCB Backhoe Model 3CX (15FT). Tasks include: pick up the equipment from the Yorktown Maintenance Yard, York County, VA, replace the non-functioning engine (to include unforeseen mechanical issues related to the engine repair in order to allow the backhoe to function properly and safely), then return the loader to the designated location. The contractor shall be qualified AND authorized to work on JCB equipment. b. Location of the Work: Equipment shall be picked up and delivered to the Yorktown Maintenance Yard, York County, Virginia. Please see attached draft copy of the Statement of Work for further details. INSTRUCTIONS TO RESPOND TO SOURCES SOUGHT: Prior Government contract work is not required for submitting a response to this synopsis. Firm�s responses to this notice shall be limited to two (2) pages, and shall include the following information: 1. Name and address 2. Point of contact name, phone number and email address 3.
