Description
This presolicitation notice is for solicitation number H9224126QE005, issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) to General Electric Aviation for YT706 Engines. (1) Point of contact. Contract Specialist Jared Mitchell, jared.a.mitchell.civ@socom.mil, Contracting Officer Stephanie San Juan, stephanie.g.sanjuan.civ@socom.mil (2) Set-asides. This procurement is not set-aside for Small Business. (3) Codes for services or supplies. 2840 (4) Description. (i)This procurement is for purchase of YT706 GE Engines and components: Nomenclature Part Number Qty YT 706 Engine(s) 5120T37G01 2 EECU 4187T29P04 2 W4-Gray Cable 4189T10P02 2 (ii) This procurement is pursued IAW FAR 12.201-1 procedures under the authority of 41 U.S.C 1901 as implemented by FAR 12.102(b). (iii) No items under this acquisition is subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement (WTO GPA) and/or a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) (see Part 25). (iv) Technical data is not required to respond and will not be furnished as part of the solicitation. (v) This is not an award of a construction contract to a small business. (vi) For this non-competitive action, the intended source is General Electric Company, General Electric Aviation. Use of a source other than General Electric Aviation will result in the substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency�s requirements. Consideration of any other engine would result in a significant effort and expense in flight testing, redesign, performance and logistics.
