Description
Purpose This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for market research and budgetary planning purposes only. This is not a solicitation, request for proposal, or request for quotation. The Government is seeking information from qualified offerors capable of providing preventive and corrective maintenance services for X-ray screening machines used in security screening operations. Background The Government is conducting market research to identify sources capable of maintaining X-ray screening equipment with the capabilities and features described below. Information received will be used to support acquisition planning, determine market availability, and develop independent budget estimates. Salient Characteristics Interested parties shall identify X-ray screening equipment they support that meets or exceeds the following salient characteristics: Standard Features Multi-Energy Imaging (4-color) Search Indicator View Previous/Next Bag functionality Image Archive capability Configurable Image Processing Keys Baggage Counter Date and Time Display UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Flat Panel Monitor Multi-Language Support Roller Beds for machine entry and exit Standard Image Processing Functions Crystal Clear image enhancement SINERGY image processing technology Black and White imaging Organic/Inorganic Stripping Inverse Video High Penetration mode Low Penetration mode Pseudo Color imaging Variable Edge Enhancement Variable Color Stripping Variable Gamma adjustment Variable Density adjustment Dynamic Continuous Zoom and Panning Fixed Zoom capability (up to 64x) Requested Information Interested parties are requested to provide the following information: Company name, address, UEI/CAGE code (if applicable), and point of contact. Description of maintenance services offered, including: Preventive maintenance Corrective maintenance Emergency repair services Technical support availability Remote diagnostic capabilities, if available Manufacturer(s) and model number(s) of X-ray screening equipment supported. Product literature, brochures, and technical specifications for supported equipment meeting the salient characteristics identified above. Description of maintenance response times and service level agreements. Availability of replacement parts and estimated lead times. Estimated pricing for budgetary purposes, including: Annual preventive maintenance services Parts coverage options Any additional information that may assist the Government in developing its acquisition strategy. Budgetary Information Requested For planning purposes, respondents are requested to provide estimated annual maintenance costs for each supported X-ray screening machine model, including: Preventive maintenance only Preventive and corrective maintenance Estimated costs for replacement parts and consumables Optional extended warranty or service plans The pricing information requested is for budgetary and market research purposes only and will not be used to evaluate proposals. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses to this notice. The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response. Response Instructions Interested parties shall submit responses electronically and include �RFI � X-Ray Screening Machine Maintenance Services� in the subject line. Responses shall be submitted via email at beverly.j.williams@dla.mil and odemaris.dekle@dla.mil on June 30, 2026 @ 2:00 p.m. ET. Responses should clearly identify the equipment supported, provide applicable technical specifications, and include estimated maintenance costs for budgetary planning purposes.
