Description
Product Director (PdD) Robotics Software & Payloads (RS&P) is hosting an invitation only Remote Weapon Systems (RWS) Summit in the vicinity of Picatinny Arsenal, NJ on 18-19 August 2026. The purpose of this event is to sync stakeholders in the acquisition (across all Services), RWS, industry, and the user community, and have discussions on current, emerging, and future efforts, seeking opportunities for increased efficiencies. Maximum collaboration and networking will be encouraged. This event is also meant to be an opportunity for industry partners, as well as Government entities, to obtain direct customer feedback from stakeholders and other participants. This event will serve as market research for RWSs and technologies all in support of RWS applications. These technologies include but are not limited to: enablers supporting small and medium caliber crew-served weapons, enablers supporting other lethal and non-lethal effectors, optical sensors, launched effects, robotic technologies, and Counter small Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-sUAS) capabilities. Due to the sensitivity of some of the information that will be discussed, the first day of the summit, 18 August 2026, will be for U.S. Government (USG) only. To encourage networking, PdD RS&P is planning a no-host social the night of 18 August 2026, for both USG and industry partners. Each attendee must pay their own consumption, and all ethics rules must be observed. Time and location is to be determined and will be provided as part of the official invite to interested respondents. Participating vendors/Government entities are invited to present a briefing at the RWS Summit. Industry briefings will be to a USG only audience, unless otherwise specified by the vendor. The RWS Summit provides an opportunity for participants to present their concepts, prototypes, and hardware to formal program acquisition authorities, RWS industry partners, RWS requirements writers, military research and development laboratories, and rapid prototyping offices from across the military services and special operations communities. Due to venue space constraints, industry partners are limited to informational briefings. No large static displays will be allowed at the RWS Summit. Vendors desiring to participate shall complete and provide the attached form to the Points of Contact listed in this posting. Participant information must be submitted no later than 27 July 2026 to be considered for an invitation. The USG reserves the right to invite or revoke vendor invitations to this event. Vendors who submit this form can expect to hear back from the USG by 03 August 2026. Further guidance, maps, instructions, and timelines will be provided to those chosen to participate. No award is intended as a result of this event nor does the USG intend to pay for any information received. Any response to this event is not an offer and cannot be accepted by the USG to form a binding award. Participation is completely voluntary. The USG will not be responsible for any expense incurred by a participant's decision to partake in the event. All travel and other associated costs are to be assumed by the interested participant. A lack of attendance to either event does not preclude participation in any future solicitations, if any are issued.
