Description
As a result of Solicitation W912CH-24-R-0169 and subsequent negotiations, Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) requirements Contract W912CH-26-D-0056 is hereby awarded to RENK America, LLC (RENK) for the acquisition of transmissions and ancillary hardware for the Transmission Hydro-Mechanically Propelled Transmission [HMPT] Operational Reliability (THOR) IV program, in support of the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) System, Bradley Fighting Vehicle System (BFVS), Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS), Paladin Integrated Management Vehicle (PIM) Vehicle platform, and the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC). RENK will be responsible for providing new, remanufactured, upgraded, repaired, and spare transmissions, as well as ancillary hardware or kits common or unique to each platform (e.g., Redesigned Transmission Control Module [R-TCM], Shift Towers, and Transmission Electronically Controlled [TEC] Cables) during the performance of the contract. This contract action was awarded on an other than full and open competition class basis pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) as implemented by Federal Aquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) and (B) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) and (B), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements". A Class Justification & Approval (J&A) approved on 04 September 2024, is forthcoming and will be redacted and posted for the applicable contract effort(s).
