Description
This notice of intent is to award a contract directly to Caterpillar Inc. at 100 NE Adams St., AB6310, Peoria, IL 61629-0001. NAVFAC Expeditionary and Engineering Warfare Center (EXWC), Port Hueneme. CA intends to award a contract, on a Sole Source basis to Caterpillar Inc. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only Caterpillar Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Caterpillar Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and is the only source capable of meeting EXWC’s heavy equipment Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) requirement. Attachment 1 is the justification and Approval. The proposed award is for a single award, FFP contract, with a period of performance not to exceed 60 months after contract award. Attachment 2 includes the draft Performance Work Statement for this effort. The prospective offeror is actively registered in SAMS at www.sam.gov.
