Description
OIDP utilizes two (2) vertical carousel storage system(s) to support intake, document handling, and production activities. These systems improve storage density, inventory control, and material retrieval efficiency. They were installed in 2019 and are currently operational. To sustain these benefits and minimize downtime, USCIS requires a qualified contractor to provide ongoing maintenance and technical support, including preventative maintenance and repair services, performed by trained/certified technicians within a defined geographic radius to ensure timely response. The purpose of the requirement is to obtain contractor support to provide maintenance and technical support services for two (2) existing vertical carousel storage systems (Kardex/Remstar RS series or equivalent) currently in operation within the OIDP, LPF. The objective is to ensure the systems remain safe, reliable, and fully operational through scheduled preventative maintenance, timely repairs, and responsive technical support. The Government requires continued preventive and corrective maintenance support for its installed Kardex Remstar vertical storage units. Kardex Remstar, LLC is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and retains exclusive control of proprietary technical data, software, firmware, and diagnostic tools necessary to perform full-scope maintenance and repair services on these units. Market research conducted by DMD, OIDP between February 2026 to March 2026 included review of OEM documentation, inquiries with potential third-party service providers, and examination of Government-wide contract vehicles.
