Description
The Contractor shall erect 40 feet of stair scaffolding from the bottom of the dewatered lock chamber floor to the top of the temporary dam. The approximate location for this scaffolding will be 10 to 15 feet upstream of the lower miter gates on the land wall side of the chamber. The scaffolding can be anchored to the vertical concrete lock wall from the bottom of the chamber floor to the top of the 40-foot scaffolding. The Contractor shall provide 5 each 1-inch-thick steel plates measuring 5-ft x 10-ft for the scaffolding leg support on the bottom of the lock chamber for stability. This work shall be completed on October 27-28, 2025, after the lock chamber is dewatered. The Contractor shall disassemble the scaffolding between November 17-18, 2025. The Government will supply cranes, crane operators and riggers to move scaffolding components, equipment and personnel from the parking lot to the lock chamber floor during erection and back out of the chamber during disassembly. **NOTICE** Information regarding the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers process for settling requests for equitable adjustments and duration goals to achieve definitization of equitable adjustments for change orders under construction contracts can be found by going to https://www.usace.army.mil/Business-With-Us/Partnering/ then clicking on ?View FFP Contract Changes Playbook Here?. 11 September 2025 - Amendment 0001 published to answer questions and extend solicitation to 11:00AM ET, 15 September 2025.
