A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a fixed price purchase order to Antech, located at 7985 Vance Drive, STE 307, Arvada, CO 80003, on a firm fixed price sole source award basis to provide the blood analyzer to the National Institutes of Health. The Element HT5+ Veterinary Hematology Analyzer is the newest upgraded model and would greatly aide in our experimental processes, as it also accurately analyzes diverse sets of reticulocyte counts. Obtaining this machine will increase productivity in the lab because it is able to o..er additional data points related to blood composition. The machine cannot be substituted for any other device, as we have been using Antechs CBC machine (the HT5) for many years- and continuing experimentation using the same conditions and analysis is imperative. Obtaining the upgraded model will ensure continued accurate measuring of blood parameters, as well as offers the innovative technology of fast and precise reticulocyte measuring, increasing laboratory throughput.
