Description

The Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division, Library Staff intends to procure from Georgetown Law approximately 600 copies of the title Annual Review of Criminal Procedure 55th edition. The publication contains objective, concise, and accurate overviews of the recent decisions in federal criminal procedure in the United States Supreme Court and each of the twelve Federal Circuit Courts. It is an essential reference tool for attorneys who prosecute criminal cases. Georgetown Law Journal publications are unique not only by virtue of copyright, but also by content. The editors and authors have applied analysis, criticism and evaluation which are solely their own and identified as unique by virtue of copyright. Narrative analysis of legal problems and/or case law and statutory law provide unique intellectual interpretation. The statutory authority for the proposed procurement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1), only one responsible source. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. Contractors must be fully and actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). The solicitation will not be distributed on the General Services Administration website https://sam.gov/. This is not a formal solicitation, however, interested concerns must respond within fourteen (14) days from the posting date of this synopsis with written documentation, detailed data and pricing information that clearly demonstrates their ability to perform the requirement. Responses received as a result of this notice of intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as either bids or proposals. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon the written responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The anticipated period of performance under any resultant purchase orders will be one (1) year. Responses must be submitted to Marla.Chesler@usdoj.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted.
