Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs Buffalo VAMC intends to award a Sole Source open market action contract for the purchase of 3 Law Enforcement Officer podiums, 2 of which will be ballistic rated and 1 non-ballistic rated. VA logo will be displayed on the front of each. The VA intends for this purchase to be the Parabit M-300-10110-BR and Parabit M-300-10110. Name of Contractor: Parabit Systems Inc. Street Address: 2677 Grand Ave City, State, Zip: Bellmore, NY 11710 The Buffalo Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo NY; 14215-1129 is requesting these Parabit Systems Law Enforcement Officer Podiums because they offer the correct aesthetics, fit, and finish providing continuity and interchangeable parts for the Buffalo VA Medical Center. They are custom made from powder coated metal while the other manufacturers are offering products that are exclusively made from wood products. This will allow the VA Medical Center seamless continuity within the facility and less officer training. Parabit Systems Inc. is the OEM of the item and sole distributor. No other LOA s have been granted, thus the need for a sole source award.
