Repair of Gingras Shear/Brake System

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT FIRM-FIXED-PRICE SERVICE CONTRACT NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound, in support of Commander, Navy Region Japan (CNRJ), intends to award a sole-source firm-fixed-price contract to American Machines for Gingras brand shear/brake repair services, including OEM support and associated supplies, to be performed in Japan. This acquisition is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. American Machines is the only known authorized service provider capable of performing Gingras shear/brake repair and providing OEM parts and services in Japan. This notice is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet the Government�s requirement. Responses must be received by [3/22/2026] and will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses received, is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be issued for this requirement. This notice will be posted to the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) website at: https://sam.gov/content/home/ Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award.
