THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is conducting market research to identify potential sources which can provide the following services: Title: The Alaska VA Healthcare System, Fairbanks CBOC, has a requirement for a Contractor to provide uniformed unarmed security guard services. NAICS Code: 561612 Security Guards and Patrol Services Locations: Fairbanks CBOC 2555 Phillips Field Road, Fairbanks, AK 99709 Tasks: Security guards shall patrol the areas around the CBOC Clinics and report any illegal activity, unusual findings, or safety concerns. These random patrols will be logged into the Daily Operation log. While patrolling, security guards shall respond to all calls for assistance in the clinic as quickly as possible. Security guards will provide escorts for vendors dropping off or picking up needed materials. Internal Patrol. Conduct a minimum of eight (8) internal foot patrols and four external foot patrols of the CBOC Clinics. Guard will be on shift 45 hours per week, except for Federal recognized holidays. Monday through Friday 7:30am -4:30pm. One guard must be present, on campus at all times within hours posted. The shift can either be split between multiple guards, or a single guard can be present all day. Special Requirements: The Contractor shall develop a Quality Control Plan (QCP) and maintain an effective quality control program to ensure services are performed in accordance with this Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Contractor shall develop and implement procedures to identify, prevent, and ensure non-recurrence of defective services. Certifications: Contractor onboarding requirements, Background Investigation and Special Agreement Checks. Certifications: Security Guard Licensing from State of Alaska, Department of Public Safety. Other: Minimum of one (1) year experience performing security guard�s duties. Other: Security Guard Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Fairbanks CBOC. Period of Performance: Base plus Option Years 1-4.
