Description
Description: This is a construction contract for the National Cemetery Administration (VA/NCA) to expand Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. The project involves developing approximately 33.6 acres of undeveloped land to create 36,511 new gravesites including pre-placed crypts, traditional casket sites, in-ground cremation sites, and columbarium niches extending the cemetery's burial capacity through FY 2045 to serve an estimated 208,000 veterans within a 75-mile service area. The contract consists of two base CLINs (General Construction and Pre-Placed Crypts) plus four option CLINs covering a maintenance storage yard, material storage building, satellite maintenance building, and replacement of Committal Shelter #4. The base work encompasses site preparation and demolition, road and utility improvements, fencing, landscaping, irrigation, a gravesite locator kiosk, physical security upgrades, and interior renovations to existing cemetery buildings. The total performance period is 912 calendar days from Notice to Proceed, with an Early Turnover milestone required within 252 calendar days to allow cemetery operations to begin while remaining construction is completed.
