Product/Service Description: This notice announces the award of a firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of six (6) Centrifugal Pump Units. These pumps are critical for supplying high-pressure water to fire main systems and for use in emergency situations. Item: Centrifugal Pump Unit National Stock Number (NSN): 4320-00-368-3186 Manufacturer Part Number: 777H440 Quantity: 6 Each Sole Source Vendor: Crane Pumps & Systems PFT Corp Authority: This acquisition is conducted under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), which permits soliciting from a single source if the contracting officer determines that only one source is reasonably available. Justification for Sole Source: The basis for this sole source determination is an exclusive licensing agreement. The required Centrifugal Pumps, configured per AEL 2-88MSC2001, are only available from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Crane Pumps & Systems PFT Corp. These pumps are critical safety items, and no alternative models are currently available that meet the government's delivery requirements. Market research has confirmed that no other sources can satisfy the Navy's needs for this specific item. Posting Information: This Justification and Approval is posted for transparency. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
