Description

PURPOSE: To provide and maintain tool and fixture making hardware using a Vendor Managed Inventory System (VMI) for Tool and Fixture hardware and steel in support of Rock Island Arsenal � Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (RIA-JMTC) Tool Design division. VMI, as defined, is a managing contract account in accordance with generally accepted VMI practices, which optimize supply chain performance. This includes, but not limited to, the resupply of designated items by the vendor through regularly scheduled reviews of on-site inventory counts, removal of damaged or outdated goods, and the re-stocking of inventory to predetermined levels at their specified locations. SCOPE: Vendor will purchase all items as shown in Attachment 0001, and maintain the minimum/maximum supply of each item at Rock Island Arsenal � Joint Manufacturing Technology Center (RIA-JMTC) using a VMI System. The items shall be placed in the vendor supplied cabinets/bins/shelving and designated Government owned racks. The Contractor shall provide, install, stock and maintain the cabinets/bins/shelves. Contractor supplied cabinets/bins/shelves will remain the property of the Contractor. The Contractor shall also stock and maintain the Government-owned racks designed for this contract. Racks will remain the property of RIA-JMTC. Interest vendors: Vendors shall submit a cability statement reflecting their ability to abide to the PWS. We will NOT be accepting pricing at this time as the Attachment is subject to revisions and updates. Awardee must follow the Buy American Act and related claused and provisions that will be listed in the forthcoming solicitation.
