Description

The 35th Contracting Office at Misawa Air Base, Japan intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of R-DFARS 205.103.70 - 10 U.S.C. 3572, Implementation of Simplified Acquisition Procedures (41 U.S.C. 1901). The associated NAICS code for this is 333310. The sole-source contract will be awarded to: Doron Precision Systems, Inc (hereby the proposed vendor): 150 Corporate Dr Binghamton, New York, 13904-3213 United States CAGE Code: 56264 The proposed vendor is the OEM for an existing Snow Removal Simulator that was procured by DO No. FA520524F0068 in Mar 24, Misawa AB, against GSA schedule #47QREA18D000D. This repair serves as a logical follow-on as the OEM possesses proprietary technical data and expertise to perform necessary repairs and restore the equipment to original performance specifications. Research has shown that no other vendor can supply the required unique parts and niche repairs needed. This is a logical follow-on to the previous contract. Award to any other source would result in duplication of cost and delays, ultimately risking mission ready status. Description of Requirement: Acquisition of replacement materials and parts, followed by on-site repair. Items to be procured are as follows: - One (1) Servo Steering Assy (new JLTV) - One (1) JLTV U - Joint Shaft (Single Joint) - One (1) Steering Column Bracket (H2) - One (1) CAN BUS Analyzer IP - One (1) Relay, General Purpose - On-site simulator repair and updates - Travel to Misawa It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement due to its compatibility with the existing system. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. Interested parties may identify their interests to this notice by showing clear and convincing evidence that they can provide all the needed assets and competition would be advantageous to the Government.
